Petrojet Club has secured the services of midfielder Ammar Hamdi from Zed Club on a six-month loan, aiming to bolster the squad as they pursue continued success in the Premier League.
The club’s official Facebook page welcomed the new signing, stating: “We welcome a new champion to Petrojet’s ranks… Ammar Hamdi.”
Zed FC approved the move after Hamdi was left out of coach Mohamed Shawky’s plans, with the loan set to last until the end of the season.
Hamdi had initially joined Zed from Al-Ahly following several loan stints, eventually leaving permanently after being sidelined under former Swiss coach Marcel Koller.
Meanwhile, in Premier League action, Petrojet drew 1-1 with Enppi at Petrosport Stadium in the 17th round.
Palestinian forward Bader Moussa put Petrojet ahead in stoppage time of the first half with a thunderous strike from outside the box.
Enppi responded in the 53rd minute when Ahmed Kalousha converted a cross with a clever backheel past goalkeeper Omar Salah, leveling the score.
