Peter Maapia: Nigerian midfielder joins CS Dinamo Bucuresti on loan from Dinamo II
Nigerian attacking midfielder Peter Maapia has joined CS Dinamo Bucuresti on loan from Dinamo II as the Liga 2 side reshapes its squad for the new campaign.
The 20-year-old, who stands at 1.75m, makes the step up after being registered with Dinamo’s second team earlier this summer. The move keeps him within the same club structure but places him in a senior Liga 2 environment, with the transfer agreed as a loan deal.
Maapia has already gained experience in Romanian football across multiple levels. Last season he played in Liga 2 with Gloria Bistrita while on loan, delivering two goals and four assists in 16 league appearances, and featuring in the Romanian Cup and the Liga 2 play-out. In total, he collected more than 1,000 competitive minutes across all competitions.
Before returning to Dinamo this summer, Maapia had a series of short-term spells away from the parent club, turning out for CSM Fetesti and Campulung to build up match experience after arriving in Romania from Ikon Allah FA. His performances have helped establish him as a recognised attacking option in the line between midfield and attack.
Maapia’s market value is currently listed at €100,000, underlining the club’s decision to give him a platform at a higher competitive level. The loan to CS Dinamo Bucuresti runs through the 2026-27 season, after which he is scheduled to return to Dinamo II.
