Paul Pogba set to stay at Monaco next season

Paul Pogba has endured a frustrating campaign with AS Monaco, one clouded by injuries, setbacks, and a fitness level that never fully steadied.

So difficult was the season that, by mid‑winter, internal talks touched on the possibility of an early contract termination, even though his deal officially runs until June 2027. With an estimated salary of around 320,000 euros net per month and minimal minutes, “the Pogba gamble” began to look like an expensive misfire for the club.

The picture has shifted, however, after Pogba posted a firm message on Instagram in which he declared: “The wait is over. Two and a half years of hard work, concentration and belief have brought me here. The pitch is my place, and I’m ready for what comes next. To the club, to the fans and to everyone who supported me: thank you. See you next season! Daghe Munegu! 🔴⚪️”

At Monaco, the tone has also calmed, with the club now open to keeping him beyond the summer. A club official said internally: “Either it works and he comes back onto the pitch and has an impact, or it doesn’t. If it works, the parties can sit down this summer to discuss the next steps,” underlining that his contract runs until 2027.

Pogba himself is confident that with a solid pre‑season he can return to top form and prove he is far from “finished.”
