Paul Pogba sends farewell message after Monaco exit
Paul Pogba has said goodbye to AS Monaco after the club ended his contract with immediate effect.
The 33-year-old midfielder used his farewell message to thank the people who supported him during a short and frustrating spell in the Principality.
Pogba expressed his appreciation to Monaco’s president, directors, teammates, coaching staff and supporters. Despite the difficult outcome, he described the club and representing the Principality as an incredible experience.
His time on the pitch was severely limited by injuries. After joining Monaco in 2025 following an 18-month doping suspension, Pogba made only six appearances in all competitions, totalling 115 minutes. A fresh injury during pre-season training ultimately contributed to the decision to end the relationship.
The former France international acknowledged that he had hoped to play more, but insisted he remained “grateful to have had the opportunity” to wear Monaco’s colours. He concluded his message with “Daghe Munegu!”, meaning “Go Monaco!”
Pogba must now decide where to continue his career. His next move remains uncertain, but the midfielder will hope to overcome his latest setback and find a club where he can regain fitness and regular playing time.
