Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) initially believed they were the sole pursuers of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. However, two European football giants, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, have entered the race to sign the talented French midfielder. Both clubs are ready to compete with PSG for Pogba’s signature and are reportedly willing to offer higher salaries.
According to the Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are all vying to convince Pogba and Juventus to facilitate his departure. While PSG proposed a salary of 7 million euros to the French midfielder, both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are prepared to go up to eight million euros.
Despite the competition, Juventus is making efforts to retain Pogba by extending his contract until 2018. Juventus’ sporting director, Beppe Marotta, has been tasked with convincing Pogba to commit to the Turin club, but the player’s departure seems likely as Juventus may not be willing to exceed four million euros net per season in salary.
