Paul Pogba: LAFC consider move for Monaco and France midfielder

French midfielder Paul Pogba, currently with Monaco, has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer side LAFC.

The 33-year-old joined Monaco on a free transfer from Juventus on 1 July 2025 and remains under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2027. The reported interest from LAFC comes with Pogba’s current market value listed at €2.5m.

Pogba has made six Ligue 1 appearances, playing 115 minutes, since returning to French football. His move to Monaco followed his departure from Juventus in December 2024, ending a second spell in Turin that began in 2022.

The midfielder previously spent six seasons at Manchester United and four years with Juventus, where he won Serie A four times and the Italian Cup twice. He returned to United in 2016 for a reported €105m transfer fee after first leaving the club for Juventus in 2012.

Pogba is also a World Cup winner with France, having played in the team’s triumph in 2018. He has won the Europa League and English League Cup with Manchester United, as well as the UEFA Nations League with France.

Any move to LAFC would therefore represent a change of league for a player whose current agreement with Monaco still has one year remaining beyond the 2026-27 season. For now, Pogba remains a Monaco midfielder, with the MLS club’s reported interest adding uncertainty to his current position.
