Paul Pogba is actively exploring opportunities in Germany’s Bundesliga as he prepares to resume his professional football career following an 18-month doping suspension.
The 32-year-old midfielder, who is of Guinean descent, is now a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Juventus in November 2024.
Pogba’s suspension, initially set at four years for testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in August 2023, was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. This decision allows him to return to competitive play from March 2025.
According to reports from Sky Deutschland, Pogba’s representatives have initiated discussions with several Bundesliga clubs, including Bayern Munich.
While Bayern has not dismissed the possibility of signing him, they are reportedly considering a performance-based contract due to his recent inactivity.
Pogba, a World Cup winner with France in 2018, has expressed his desire to continue playing in Europe. He is currently training independently to regain match fitness.
In a recent interview, he stated, “There are offers today. They come from everywhere. I want to see what suits me best. Because I am in a crucial period of my life and my career. It is an important decision and I want to take the right amount of time to weigh everything up.”
