Patrick-Emmanuel Abe: German-Cameroonian forward joins Berliner AK on free transfer from Hertha Zehlendorf

Berliner AK have added German-Cameroonian centre-forward Patrick-Emmanuel Abe to their squad after completing his move on a free transfer from league rivals Hertha Zehlendorf. The 20-year-old switches clubs within the NOFV-Oberliga Nord and arrives with a listed market value of 25,000.

Abe, who is comfortable leading the line through the middle, leaves Hertha Zehlendorf to remain in the same division but in a new environment in the German capital. The deal sees Berliner AK strengthen their attacking options without paying a transfer fee, as the forward changes clubs at the start of the new campaign.

The move keeps Abe in Berlins regional football scene, where he has been developing his game in the Oberliga structure. His age and experience at this level made him a candidate for a club looking to refresh its forward line while maintaining familiarity with the competition.

For Hertha Zehlendorf, Abes departure marks the end of his current spell with the club, with the player now set to compete directly against his former side in the same league. Remaining in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord means there will be no adaptation period to a new competition, allowing him to focus on integrating quickly with his new teammates.

Abes free transfer from Hertha Zehlendorf to Berliner AK is effective immediately, with the centre-forward now registered to represent his new club in the forthcoming NOFV-Oberliga Nord fixtures.
