Patrick Dorgu reveals music that powers his routine

Patrick Dorgu has opened up about the music that keeps him in the right headspace as he settles into life at Manchester United and prepares for an appearance at the MOBO Awards.

The 21-year-old says one artist in particular has become central to his everyday routine.

Dorgu revealed that Gunna is the main name on his playlist, especially when he needs to lock in mentally. “He’s got something for every mood and always gets me in the right zone. ‘South to west’ is probably my favourite,” he explained. For the young defender, the rapper’s catalogue helps him dial up or calm down depending on what the day demands.

His taste is not limited to rap, though. Dorgu shared that Ed Sheeran also features regularly when he wants something more laid-back. “I like some of the slower songs when I’m in that mood,” he added.

Around the dressing room, Nemzzz gets plenty of playtime too. “We play him a lot. I’m getting better at understanding the accent now,” Dorgu joked, highlighting how music has become part of the team’s daily rhythm while he continues his injury recovery.
