Although not yet officially confirmed, multiple Gabonese media outlets report that Patrice Neveu is among the final candidates to become the next coach of the Gabonese national team, the Panthers.
The search for a new head of technical staff is nearing completion, with the selection committee reportedly submitting three names to Fegafoot for final approval. In addition to Neveu, the shortlist includes Hubert Velud and Jean-Louis Garcia.
Neveu, who has been without a club since leaving Horoya AC in Guinea, would be tasked with succeeding Daniel Cousin, who was dismissed following Gabon’s failure to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Further announcements regarding the decision are expected in the coming days as the federation finalizes its choice.
