Patrice Evra wants Victor Osimhen at Manchester United

Patrice Evra has backed Victor Osimhen as the ideal striker for Manchester United, arguing that the club needs a proven finisher to compete at the highest level.

The former United left-back said Osimhen would bring the kind of edge that can change tight games and lift the squad’s overall threat.

Speaking to GOAL, Evra made it clear he has great respect for Galatasaray and for the reception Osimhen is enjoying there, but he still believes Old Trafford should be the Nigerian’s next big stage. He stressed that United cannot rely on a thin attacking group if they want to challenge in multiple competitions.

“Osimhen. I have all due respect for Galatasaray, the love he gets there and what the player is like,” Evra said. He added, “Man United need a proper striker… back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to play every competition, you need more strikers”.

According to Transfermarkt, Victor Osimhen’s current market value is €75,000,000. Evra’s comments reflect a familiar concern around United’s rebuild: the club still lacks a striker who can consistently decide games.
