Pathy Malumandsoko has completed a move from French side GC Lucciana to Kaya FC-Iloilo in the Philippines Football League, signing a contract that runs from 2026-02-07 to 2027-06-30. The 25-year-old centre-back joins the PFL club on a standard transfer from the National 3 outfit, adding height, experience and international exposure to Kaya FC’s defensive line.
The deal sees Malumandsoko leave France’s lower divisions for a new chapter in Southeast Asia, with Kaya FC registering him as a defender capable of operating at centre-back. Standing at 1.85 m and predominantly right-footed, he becomes part of a squad competing in the Philippines Football League, marking another step in an already well-travelled career that has taken him across several European and Asian leagues.
Born in Fontainebleau and holding both French and DR Congo nationality, Malumandsoko’s move also underlines his status as a dual-national player continuing his career abroad rather than in his home countries. Kaya FC list him among their defensive options, and the transfer from GC Lucciana is recorded as a completed move without a disclosed fee. His market value at the time of the move is not specified in the transfer record.
Malumandsoko arrives in the Philippines having experienced a fluctuating market value in recent years. Earlier in his career, while at Apollon Kalamarias in Greece, his value was listed at €150,000, later peaking at €200,000 during his spell with Metalist Kharkiv in Ukraine. Subsequent moves saw that figure decline through stints at Tanjong Pagar United in Singapore and FC Legnago Salus in Italy, before a period without a club and a short-term return to French football with Gallia Club Lucciana.
His club journey reflects a pattern of short contracts and frequent moves. After progressing from SM Caen’s youth ranks into SM Caen B in France, Malumandsoko spent time unattached before signing for Apollon Kalamarias in Greece, then transferring to Metalist Kharkiv. Another spell as a free agent followed, prior to his signing for Tanjong Pagar United in Singapore. From there he moved to FC Legnago Salus in Italy, again dropped into free agency, and then rebuilt his career with GC Lucciana in French National 3. The latest move to Kaya FC now places him in the PFL.
Each of those stages adds to a profile of a defender accustomed to adapting to different footballing cultures and competitive levels, from Greek and Ukrainian leagues to Singapore’s domestic competition and Italy’s Lega Pro/Serie C environment, before returning to France and now heading to the Philippines. With his contract at Kaya FC now in force from 2026-02-07, the next phase of his career is set firmly in Iloilo, where consistent performances could restore his reputation and open the door to future transfers or a longer stay in Asian football.
