Paris Saint-Germain hand 18-year-old Younes Eider first-team chance

Younes Eider has been included in the Paris Saint-Germain first-team squad for the first time as manager Luis Enrique prepares his side to face Troyes in Ligue 1 on Saturday, 07 November 2026.

The 18-year-old Moroccan is now in contention to make his senior debut after impressing for the club’s reserve team in recent weeks. His inclusion reflects the coaching staff’s continued monitoring of his progress and marks an important step in his development at the Parisian club.

Eider’s opportunity comes as Enrique plans to manage the workload of some of his established players and create more opportunities for younger members of the squad. That approach has opened the door for the teenager to join the first-team group for the matchday 10 fixture.

Morocco international Achraf Hakimi will not feature against Troyes after the coaching staff decided to rest him until the next international break. His absence means Eider is the only Moroccan player named in the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the game.

The squad selection represents more than Eider’s first involvement with the senior team. It is also the latest stage in a period of progress through the Paris Saint-Germain academy and brings him closer to the possibility of playing for one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

A debut will depend on whether Enrique decides to use him during the match, but the fixture offers Eider an opportunity to turn his first call-up into a senior appearance and demonstrate that he can compete within the Paris Saint-Germain squad.

Eider already has international experience at youth level with Morocco. He has represented his country across several age groups, most recently reaching Morocco Under-18 level, and is regarded as one of the young players being watched as a potential part of the future of Moroccan football.

The meeting with Troyes could therefore become a significant moment in Eider’s early career, with the teenager now waiting to see whether his first place in a Paris Saint-Germain first-team squad will lead to his competitive debut.
