Paris Saint-Germain beat Le Mans to extend winning run without rested Dembele

Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3-1 victory over Le Mans on matchday six of Ligue 1 to record their third consecutive league win.

The result took Paris Saint-Germain to 11 points and fifth place in the table, while Le Mans remain on six points in 12th.

Ousmane Dembele and Nuno Mendes were left out of the squad for the match as they were rested ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League meeting with Manchester City.

The visitors restored their advantage seven minutes later. Fabian Ruiz’s effort was saved by the goalkeeper, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia followed up to send the rebound into the net and put Paris Saint-Germain back in front.

Maghnes Akliouche completed the scoring in the closing stages after leading a quick counter-attack. He released a shot from the edge of the penalty area to make it 3-1 and secure the points.
