Paris FC Women sign Morocco defender Hajar Said

Paris FC Women have officially announced the signing of Moroccan international defender Hajar Said from AS FAR Rabat on a long-term contract running until the summer of 2029.

The highly rated defender, born in 2005 in Agadir, is regarded as one of Morocco’s most promising young talents and arrives in France after a rapidly rising career that has already seen her collect major domestic and continental honours.

Said began her football journey with Hassania Agadir before making her professional debut with Najah Souss in the 2021/2022 season. She quickly made an impression at senior level, contributing an impressive return of six goals and 14 assists despite her defensive role, highlighting her technical ability and attacking contribution from deep positions.

Her potential soon attracted attention beyond Morocco, earning her an early move abroad at just 18 years old when she joined FC Girondins de Bordeaux Women in 2023. Although her time in France was brief, it provided valuable exposure to European football before she returned to Morocco to continue her development.

At AS FAR Rabat, Said’s career reached new heights. She played a key role in the club’s domestic dominance, winning the Moroccan league title twice, while also contributing to their triumph in the CAF Women’s Champions League. Her performances on the continental stage further enhanced her reputation as a composed and versatile defender capable of performing under pressure.

Her success with AS FAR Rabat also earned her participation in the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, giving her experience at the highest level of club football.

Paris FC’s decision to secure her services until 2029 reflects the club’s long-term planning and commitment to investing in young international talent. The French side are expected to integrate her into their defensive structure as they continue to compete at the top level of women’s football in France.

For Said, the move represents another major step in a promising career that has already taken her from Morocco’s domestic leagues to continental success and now back into European football on a more established stage.

With her blend of technical quality, tactical awareness and experience in both African and European competitions, she arrives at Paris FC as one of the most exciting young defensive prospects in women’s football.
