Paris FC have warned potential suitors that a bid of €20m would not be enough to sign Lassine Sinayoko, who has made an outstanding start to the season.
The 26-year-old Mali international joined the club for €8m during the last summer transfer window and has quickly become the driving force behind their campaign. Sinayoko has scored nine goals and provided five assists in 10 appearances.
His form currently makes him Ligue 1’s leading goalscorer and the second-highest assist provider in the division. That record has attracted interest from overseas clubs, particularly in the Premier League, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
Sinayoko is under contract with Paris FC until 2029, giving the club a strong negotiating position. Despite the growing attention, the Parisian side are reported to be relaxed about his situation and are confident they have the financial resources to retain their key players.
L’Equipe reports that Paris FC would not consider allowing their leading scorer to leave for €20m. The club’s hierarchy are demanding a significantly higher fee and intend to benefit from Sinayoko’s sporting value in the challenges ahead.
His current market value is estimated at €15m by Transfermarkt, although Paris FC’s reported financial demands are considerably higher.
Sinayoko was born in Bamako and will next have the opportunity to add to his impressive figures when Paris FC face Angers in the 11th round of the French championship.
