Arsene Kouassi on the radar of Paris FC

French club Paris FC have reportedly opened negotiations to sign Burkina Faso international Arsene Kouassi during the summer transfer window following his impressive performances for Lorient.

The 22-year-old left-back enjoyed an outstanding campaign in Ligue 1, where he established himself as one of Lorient’s key performers with his consistency and attacking contributions from defense.

Kouassi featured in 31 league matches last season, scoring two goals and providing eight assists in a remarkable display that attracted attention from several clubs in France.

His performances have now placed him firmly on the radar of Paris FC, with the newly ambitious Parisian outfit eager to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

According to reports, Paris FC officials have already contacted the player’s representatives to present their sporting project and discuss the possibility of bringing the Burkinabe defender to the French capital this summer.

However, Lorient are reportedly unwilling to let one of their most important players leave easily and are demanding a transfer fee in the region of €10 million before considering any deal.

Kouassi’s rise in French football has been impressive in recent seasons, with the full-back gaining recognition for his pace, defensive discipline, attacking quality and ability to influence matches in the final third.

His creativity from wide areas and consistent performances have also strengthened his reputation as one of Burkina Faso’s emerging stars in European football.

Paris FC are expected to continue discussions in the coming weeks as they attempt to reach an agreement for the highly-rated defender.
