Paris FC manager Liam Rosenior wants Algeria midfielder Ilan Kebbal to stay
Newly appointed Paris FC head coach Liam Rosenior has revealed his desire to retain the services of Algerian midfielder Ilan Kebbal, insisting that the talented playmaker remains a key figure in his plans ahead of the new season.
Rosenior, who recently took charge of the newly promoted French club, used his first press conference as manager to underline Kebbal’s importance to the team, praising the midfielder’s technical qualities, creativity, and ability to influence matches.
The 26-year-old has attracted growing interest from clubs following an impressive 2025/26 campaign, where he emerged as one of Paris FC’s most influential players. However, Rosenior has made it clear that the club’s priority is to keep hold of the Algeria international as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
“I want him to stay with the team. He is a top player and really impressed me when I came up against him last season with Strasbourg. His style of play fits perfectly with the way we want to play,” Rosenior said.
The English tactician believes Kebbal’s qualities align perfectly with his football philosophy, particularly his ability to operate between the lines, create chances, and provide a consistent attacking threat.
Kebbal was one of Paris FC’s standout performers during the 2025/26 season, playing a crucial role in the club’s success. The attacking midfielder recorded nine goals and five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions, showcasing his importance in the final third.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with his technical ability and creativity making him one of the most exciting players in the squad. Despite the external interest, Rosenior is keen to build his team around players like Kebbal as Paris FC prepare for a new chapter.
Having previously faced Kebbal while managing Strasbourg, Rosenior already had first-hand experience of the midfielder’s qualities and believes he can be a major asset as Paris FC look to establish themselves at the highest level.
With the club entering a new era under Rosenior’s leadership, keeping key players such as Kebbal will be seen as a major priority as they aim to compete and continue their upward progress.
