Pape Sissoko: Mali forward joins SV Ried on loan from Stade Reims

Mali centre-forward Pape Sissoko has joined Austrian side SV Ried on loan from Stade Reims.

The 20-year-old, born in Bamako, moves to Ried on a temporary deal for the 2026-27 season as he looks to gain regular first-team football. His contract with the Austrian club runs until 30 June 2027, after which he is due to return to Reims.

Sissoko arrives in Austria having already experienced senior football in both France and Hungary. On the books at Reims since January 2024, he spent last season on loans with Debrecen in Hungary’s top flight and AS Nancy in France, returning to the Champagne-Ardenne club at the end of each spell.

A right-footed striker standing at 1.87m, Sissoko has shown an eye for goal at youth and reserve level. He scored 12 times in 16 appearances in France’s National 2 and produced a prolific return of eight goals in three outings in the French U19 championship, underlining his effectiveness in front of goal when given a run in the side.

He also has early experience of both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 with Reims, as well as the Coupe de France, and featured in league and cup competitions during his time in Hungary with Debrecen.

Sissoko, whose current market value is listed at €100,000, will spend the upcoming campaign with SV Ried on loan from Stade Reims.
