Pape Diouf extending congratulations to PSG is not an everyday occurrence. During an appearance on the “Les Grandes Gueules” show on RMC, the former Marseille boss briefly acknowledged the Parisian club’s qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals (1-1 against Valencia).
“I say bravo to the Parisians, but I do not feel excessive joy,” stated Pape Diouf. “First of all, I am from Marseille. I became a basic supporter of OM again. As such, it is very difficult to be a supporter of Paris at the same time. But good for them if they qualified,” he declared.
The Senegalese is the author of a new book entitled “It’s much more than a game.” The first black president of a club in Europe reflected on his beginnings, which did not predestine him for such a brilliant career. He also shared his opinions on the personalities he worked with during his professional life, including Bernard Tapie, Robert-Louis Dreyfus, Vincent Labrune, Marcel Desailly, and others.
