Pape Cabral linked with Al-Ahli move as Monaco midfielder attracts Saudi interest

Pape Cabral, the 19-year-old French-Senegalese midfielder at Monaco, has been linked with a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.

Cabral plays as a central midfielder and has been part of Monaco’s senior squad since joining from the club’s under-21 side on 1 July 2026. The teenager remains under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2031.

He has yet to make an appearance for Monaco this season, with the club having played two possible Ligue 1 matches. Cabral has also not featured in Monaco’s two possible Uefa Conference League qualifying fixtures.

The midfielder joined Monaco’s academy from Mainvilliers in July 2022 before progressing through the club’s under-17, under-19 and under-21 teams. He won the French Youth Cup with Monaco Under-19s in the 2022-23 season.

Cabral’s current market value is listed at €1.2m, while his highest recorded value has been €1.5m. Any potential move would therefore involve a player who has only recently made the transition to Monaco’s senior setup and is tied to the club on a long-term contract.

There is no indication that a transfer to Al-Ahli has been completed, and Cabral remains a Monaco player as the rumour develops.
