Papa Amady Gadio: Senegal midfielder joins Novi Pazar on loan from Akhmat Grozny
Senegalese midfielder Papa Amady Gadio has joined Serbian side Novi Pazar on loan from Akhmat Grozny for the 2026-27 season.
The 24-year-old central midfielder moves to the Super Liga Srbije after a year in Russia, where he signed for Akhmat Grozny from Moroccan club Union Touarga in September 2025 for €400,000. His loan deal at Novi Pazar runs until June 2027.
Born in Rufisque and standing at 1.85m, Gadio is a right-footed central midfielder whose career has taken him from Senegal to North Africa, Eastern Europe and now the Balkans. He previously played for Generation Foot before heading to Morocco in 2023, where his performances in the Botola Pro with Union Touarga earned him a move to the Russian Premier Liga.
Gadio has built up experience across domestic and continental competitions, making over 40 league appearances in Morocco and featuring in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. He has also played in domestic cup competitions in Morocco and Russia.
Novi Pazar, who compete in Serbia’s top flight, have secured Gadio as a short-term addition to strengthen their midfield options, with the player under contract at the Serbian club until the end of June 2027 while on loan.
