Palace eye French-Senegalese Nice defender Antoine Mendy

Antoine Mendy, the 22-year-old French-Senegalese centre-back at Nice, has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace.

The rumour places the defender on a possible route from Ligue 1 to the Premier League, with Palace identified as the club interested in taking him to England. Mendy’s current market value is listed at €10m, giving an indication of the financial level attached to a potential deal.

Mendy remains contracted to Nice until 30 June 2028. That agreement means the French club would not be facing an imminent free-transfer decision over the defender, while any move would need to be negotiated before the end of his current deal.
