Pablo Franco Martín emerges as contender for Al Masry head coach role

Former Simba SC and AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martín is among the managers being considered by Al Masry as the Egyptian Premier League club searches for a new head coach.

The Spanish tactician has emerged as one of the candidates on Al Masry’s shortlist as the Port Said-based side weighs up its options ahead of the new season.

Franco Martín is no stranger to African football, having built a growing reputation through coaching spells in both East and Southern Africa.

His work at Tanzania’s Simba SC and South Africa’s AmaZulu showcased his preference for an organised, possession-based style of play, while also giving him experience in continental competitions.

Al Masry are assessing several candidates as they look to appoint a manager capable of guiding the club through domestic and continental challenges.
