Pa Ousman Gai: Gambian striker joins Visakha FC after prolific spell in Philippines

Visakha FC have signed Gambian centre-forward Pa Ousman Gai from Manila Digger in a completed transfer to bolster their attack for the new Cambodian Premier League campaign.

The 26-year-old moves to Cambodia on the back of a standout season in the Philippines Football League, where he fired Manila Digger to the 2025-26 league title and finished as the divisions top scorer with 32 goals. Gai, who was born in Banjul and stands at 1.83m, plays primarily as a central striker and prefers his right foot.

Gai joined Manila Digger on a free transfer in September 2024 and quickly became the focal point of their forward line. Across league and continental action with the club, he scored 48 goals and provided 14 assists in 46 appearances, including strong returns in the AFC Challenge League. His form has helped lift his market value to around 250,000.

Before moving to the Philippines, Gai spent time with Banjul United in his homeland after a spell in Senegalese football with Stade Mbour and Teungueth FC. His switch to Visakha FC marks the next step in a career that has already taken him across West Africa and Southeast Asia.

Gai officially joined Visakha FC on 10 July 2026 and will be available to lead the line in the upcoming Cambodian Premier League season.
