Ousséni Bouda continues scoring form in MLS

Burkina Faso international Ousséni Bouda continued his impressive start to the Major League Soccer season by scoring again for San Jose Earthquakes in a dominant 5-1 victory over Austin FC.

The match, played in the ninth round of the MLS season, saw San Jose produce a commanding performance, with Bouda once again playing a key role in the attacking third.

Fresh from scoring a brace in the previous round, the Burkinabe forward found the net again after applying strong pressure high up the pitch.

His pressing forced a mistake from the opposition defence, allowing him to intercept a well-placed pass before calmly finishing in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.

Bouda’s goal was San Jose’s fourth of the afternoon, sealing an already comfortable lead in a match they controlled from early on.

The result underlined the team’s attacking strength and marked another productive outing for the forward.

The 23-year-old has now scored five goals in just nine appearances in the current MLS campaign, highlighting his growing influence since the start of the season. His consistent form has made him one of San Jose’s standout performers in the early stages of the league.

For Burkina Faso, Bouda’s progress in the United States will also be closely followed, with his club performances adding to his international profile.

San Jose’s victory over Austin further strengthens their position in the league standings and reflects a side finding rhythm in front of goal. Bouda’s contributions have been central to that improvement, with his movement and pressing proving particularly effective in recent matches.

With the season still in its early stages, his continued form will be important for both club and country as he looks to build on a strong start to the campaign.
