Rapid Vienna have reportedly shown significant interest in Ousmane Savané, the promising forward currently making waves at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Mali national team.

The 17-year-old, who has impressed with his technical ability and dribbling skills, has caught the attention of the Austrian club’s scouts as they seek to strengthen their attacking options.

Savané’s standout performances in the tournament, which has seen Mali progress to the semi-finals, have not gone unnoticed.

The competition, taking place in Morocco, is serving as an important stage for emerging African talents, with Savané among the most highly regarded players.

Mali, having been undefeated throughout the tournament, now prepares for a much-anticipated final against Morocco, set for April 19 in Mohammedia.

Rapid Vienna have been quick to act, initiating contact with Savané’s training club, Centre Sportif Bamako, to explore the possibility of securing the player’s services.

The two clubs already have an established relationship, which could facilitate the move. The Austrian side is particularly attracted to Savané’s versatility, with the player capable of featuring in various attacking roles, as well as his exceptional dribbling technique that has made him a standout performer at the youth level.

The Green-Whites are determined to do everything necessary to bring Savané into their fold, with talks reportedly ongoing regarding a potential transfer.

The player is expected to make his first professional contract soon, and Rapid Vienna hopes to be at the forefront of securing his signature.

However, Rapid Vienna is not the only club monitoring Savané’s progress. Reports suggest that Sturm Graz, another Austrian side, along with Spanish La Liga club Cadiz CF, are also exploring the possibility of signing the Mali international.

As a result, Savané’s future is expected to be the subject of considerable attention in the coming weeks, especially after the conclusion of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The competition has provided a platform for several young African players to showcase their talents to the world, and Savané’s performances have certainly made him one of the most sought-after prospects. His future now appears to be set for an exciting next step, with multiple clubs eager to secure his signature.

As Savané continues to shine on the international stage, his options for the next phase of his career are expanding. Whether he chooses a move to Austria, Spain, or another destination, his future looks bright, and his performances at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations could be the stepping stone to a successful professional career.
