Ousmane Dembele is racing toward the Ballon d’Or with growing momentum, now topping the list of favourites according to leading bookmakers.
The Paris Saint-Germain winger has had an outstanding season, pushing past Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal in the race for football’s biggest individual honour.
At 27, Dembele has delivered 33 goals and 13 assists across 46 matches in all competitions. With PSG already crowned Ligue 1 champions, his chances have soared thanks to his consistent impact and Barcelona’s Champions League exit in the semi-finals.
While Yamal had been tipped for the award earlier this year, his side’s elimination left space for Dembélé to shine brighter. The PSG forward still has two more trophies in sight, the Coupe de France and the UEFA Champions League.
Victory over Inter Milan in the final on 1 June would mark PSG’s first-ever Champions League title and would likely seal Dembélé’s place as the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner.
The stage is set. If Dembélé finishes strong, the golden ball may finally be his.
