With this goal, the 27-year-old winger matched Kylian Mbappé’s tally of eight goals and three assists from the 2020/21 season, the most ever by a PSG player in a single Champions League campaign.
Dembélé’s sharp performances this season have lit up Europe, with his pace, movement, and finishing making him one of PSG’s most important players. He has now tallied eleven goals in all competitions this term, with his continental form playing a major role in PSG’s progress.
Now level with Kylian Mbappé’s milestone, Ousmane Dembélé stands just one goal away from setting a new club record. Should he find the net again in the return leg against Arsenal, he will sit alone at the top of PSG’s Champions League scoring charts for a single season.
