Ousmane Dembele could not hide his joy as he looked back on a career filled with dreams, challenges, and triumphs after lifting the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward spoke with heartfelt gratitude, praising everyone who shaped his journey.

Dembele said: “It’s been an incredible season with PSG. I’m a little nervous. Receiving this trophy and having Ronaldinho hand it to me… I want to thank PSG for supporting me in 2023, the entire team, the club which I feel like a family, the president and all the staff who have been exceptional, and Luis Enrique, who is like a father to me. This team was wonderful in the 2024/25 season. They’ve been by my side through the good times and the bad. We all share this individual award as a team.”

Looking back, he added: “I also want to thank Borussia Dortmund and Rennes. I fulfilled my dreams at Barcelona and was able to play alongside Lionel Messi and Iniesta. I also want to thank Messi. It was a great learning experience. To be able to take home this individual trophy is incredible.”

Dembele closed by thanking his national team, his hometown of Vernon, and most importantly, his family and closest friends who stood by him through it all.
