Ousmane Dembele’s explosive season with Paris Saint-Germain has placed him at the center of the 2025 Ballon d’Or conversation.
The French winger, who played a key role in PSG’s historic treble-winning campaign, says he believes he’s edging closer to football’s most prestigious individual award.
In an interview with DAZN, Dembele said: “I’m thinking about (the Ballon d’Or). I know that, with the season that I have had, I am not far (from the Ballon d’Or), but I am focused on the objectives, before thinking about myself.”
Dembele has been electric this season, scoring 33 goals and supplying 15 assists in 50 matches across all competitions. His performances have lit up the Champions League and Ligue 1, where PSG completed a clean sweep of domestic and European titles.
With the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup still on the horizon, Dembele has one last platform to underline his case. If he maintains this level, few would argue against his claim to the Ballon d’Or throne.
