Algerian forward Adam Ounas played a pivotal role in Al Sadd’s 2-1 victory over Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in the AFC Champions League, delivering a decisive penalty in stoppage time to secure the win.

Ounas, who had entered the match as a substitute, made an immediate impact, scoring the crucial goal that handed Al Sadd their first-ever victory over Al Nassr in the competition.

His penalty capped off a strong performance that saw the Qatari team hold on to their lead despite late pressure from the Saudi club.

The win secured Al Sadd’s place in the next round of the tournament, finishing with 12 points, just one behind Al Nassr, who advanced despite the defeat.

Al Nassr had already qualified for the knockout stage with 13 points, but this defeat marked their first loss in the group stage. Al Sadd’s qualification was confirmed after their victory, with a record of three wins, three draws, and no losses.
