Jordanian winger Ouda Al-Fakhouri has bid farewell to Al Hussein Irbid fans as he prepares to complete a transfer to Egyptian side Pyramids FC in the winter window.
The winger did not feature in Al Hussein’s 4-0 league win over Al Jazeera on Friday night but received heartfelt chants from the stands after informing the club of his decision to leave.
Al-Fakhouri has reached a near-final agreement with Pyramids and held an online meeting with club officials and Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurcic to iron out the last details. He is now expected to travel to Cairo soon to sign contracts and undergo his medical. His release clause is set at 100,000 US dollars, and he has been one of the most sought-after young goalkeepers in Jordan.
The young international had three concrete offers on the table from Al Ahly, Pyramids, and Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb.
Although he initially leaned towards a move to Europe with Dinamo, he now prefers joining Pyramids after receiving assurances of regular playing time and a clear promise that the club will not stand in his way if a European offer arrives after the next World Cup.
