Thorsten Fink, the manager of Hamburg, has resigned under pressure from the club’s leaders due to a challenging start to the Bundesliga season, exacerbated by a heavy 2-6 defeat against Dortmund. In his place, Otto Addo, a former Ghanaian international who was coaching the club’s U19s, has been chosen as the interim coach. Addo will be assisted by Rodolfo Cardoso, the reserve coach. Born in Germany, Addo previously played for Hamburg from 2007 to 2008, making 14 appearances. He also had a career with the Ghana national team, earning 15 caps and scoring two goals between 1999 and 2006.
