Othmane Chraibi: Morocco midfielder linked with Raja Casablanca exit as free agent
Moroccan defensive midfielder Othmane Chraibi is being linked with a departure from Raja Casablanca, with the 23-year-old reportedly attracting interest as a potential free agent option once he leaves the Botola Pro side. The Casablanca-born player is currently on the books of Raja but is understood to be on the radar of clubs monitoring his situation as he is increasingly tipped for a move away without a new destination yet fixed.
Chraibi, who operates at the base of midfield and wears the No 19 shirt for Raja, is under contract until 30 June 2027, meaning any exit at this stage would require an agreement with the club rather than a straightforward free transfer. However, with his market value currently assessed at around €250,000, an affordable deal could appeal to sides seeking low-cost midfield reinforcements and willing to move early rather than wait for his contract to run down.
The midfielder joined Raja Casablanca in July 2025 after leaving French side FC Metz on a free, returning to his home city after a spell in the French system. Since arriving in the Botola Pro, he has featured regularly, making 16 league appearances and registering one assist, underlining his integration into Raja’s first-team group.
Prior to his move back to Morocco, Chraibi accumulated experience in French lower divisions, including a 34-game campaign in Ligue 3, which helped raise his profile before his switch to Raja. For now, he remains under contract with the Moroccan giants, and any move away from Casablanca will depend on whether interested clubs are prepared to meet Raja’s demands for a player whose deal still has a year to run beyond the current season.
