Oscar Masai: Tanzania defender joins Polisi TZ from Mtibwa Sugar

Tanzania centre-back Oscar Masai has joined Polisi TZ from Mtibwa Sugar, completing his move on 1 August 2026.

Masai, 26, switches clubs after spending more than three years with Mtibwa Sugar, whom he joined from Geita Gold SC in January 2023. The defender had moved to Geita Gold from Azam FC the previous July, beginning a sequence of club changes that has now taken him to Polisi TZ.

The move gives Polisi TZ a central defender with experience in Tanzania’s domestic game and in continental competition. Masai has made two appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, playing 180 minutes in the tournament.

He began his senior club career with Azam FC in July 2018 before moving on to Geita Gold SC, then Mtibwa Sugar. His latest switch keeps him in Tanzania as he takes up a new challenge with Polisi TZ.

Masai’s arrival is recorded as part of Polisi TZ’s 2026-27 squad changes. He joins the club as a Tanzania international defender by nationality and is listed primarily as a centre-back.

The move from Mtibwa Sugar to Polisi TZ was completed on 1 August 2026.
