South African Premier Soccer League club Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of two first-team players as the January transfer window approaches.
Defender Sandile Mthethwa will leave the club following a mutual agreement that allows him to pursue opportunities at a club of his choice. This amicable separation marks the end of Mthethwa’s tenure with the Pirates.
In addition, winger Katlego Otladisa has secured a loan move to fellow Premiership team Sekhukhune United for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The club announced this transfer on their official website, highlighting the arrangement with Sekhukhune United.
“The Club can also confirm that it has reached an agreement with Sekhukhune United for the services of Katlego Otladisa,” the statement read.
The 28-year-old player will now look to make an impact at Babina Noko as he takes on this new challenge.
After eight games into the 2024/25 South African Premier Soccer League, Orlando Pirates are joint-top of the table with 21 points.
