Orlando Pirates join race to sign prolific striker Muzomuhle Khanyi

South African giants, Orlando Pirates have joined the race to sign talented striker Muzomuhle Khanyi.

The 25-year-old forward currently plays for South African lower-division outfit Hungry Lions Football Club.

In the ongoing 2024/25 National First Division campaign, Muzomuhle Khanyi has scored 14 goals after making 17 appearances for Hungry Lions FC.

His performances have been special, earning him a reputation as one of the deadliest attackers in South Africa at the moment.

With Orlando Pirates preparing for the 2025/26 football season, the club has identified Muzomuhle Khanyi as a player who can bolster their squad.

The club has accordingly decided to sign the prolific striker at the end of the current season.

Meanwhile, South African Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs are also reportedly interested in signing Muzomuhle Khanyi.

The two clubs are expected to go toe-to-toe in a transfer battle in a bid to sign the in-demand forward.
