Orlando Pirates trainer Jose Riveiro has eulogized his players following their comeback victory over Cape Town City FC in the South African top-flight on Saturday.
The home team were handed an early scare after Haashim Domingo gave Cape Town City the lead in the 21st-minute mark, ensuring they went to the halftime break with the advantage.
However, Orlando Pirates staged a strong comeback in the second half of the crucial game, held at the Orlando Stadium to snatch maximum points.
South Africa international Tshegofatso John Mabasa level the score for Orlando Pirates in the 67th-minute before Goodman Mosele found the net three minutes to full time to secure three maximum points for the host.
After the game, the Spanish tactician Jose Riveiro highlighted his outfit consistency in the ongoing campaign, saying the quality of the team cannot be questioned.
“I think it’s clearly the key, for us during the season, during the whole season, what we’re achieving in terms of results, performances, the quality of these players are not in question, everybody knows they are good enough to play at this club, to challenge for every title, to perform in the way they are doing. The key is to do it every day even in your bad days, not bad day… it’s more my limitations in English [when I say this” he said.
Orlando Pirates are currently second on the league standings, accumulating 36 points from the 15 matches they’ve played.
