Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou hails players after hard-fought win over Siwelele FC
Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has eulogized his players following their 1-0 victory over Siwelele FC in the South African Premier League clash.
The Soweto giants narrowly triumphed over their opponent in a high-stake clash on Thursday evening. South African international, Oswin Appollis’ strike was enough for the Pirates to snatch a hard-fought win.
The 24-year-old winger replaced Patrick Maswanganyi in the 46th minute, before grabbing the winner with a fine finish in the 80th minute.
However, Ouaddou, who joined Pirates in the summer has expressed immense satisfaction with his squad following a hard-fought win against their opponent.
“Like I told you, I’m a very happy coach,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV after the game. “I told you that I have a fantastic dressing room, all the guys who come in the pitch they have the ambition to change the game.
“They are fantastic, I call them impact players, it’s why I call them impact players because they are here to change the game and since few games they did and I hope they will continue like that,” the French-Moroccan coach added.
Orlando Pirates are currently fourth on the South African Premier League table, accumulating 12 points after six matches into the campaign.
