Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has shared his disappointment over his outfit unimpressive start to the 2025/26 Premier League season.
The Soweto giants has yet to record a win after two matches into the South African top-flight campaign, suffering back-to-back defeats across the period.
After two matches, Orlando Pirates find themselves in the 14th position, sparking concerns about the club’s readiness for the season.
In matchday 2 of the Premier League season, Pirates succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Marumo Gallants.
However, Ouaddou has expressed his disappointment in the teams sloppy start to season while, eyeing a swift return to victory.
“It’s a big disappointment that we’ve started so badly, but we’ll sit down and think it over. We will analyze the match and see what’s going wrong, especially in the second half. We tried to make some changes to inject fresh energy, but unfortunately, those changes didn’t bring us what we had hoped for,” said the Orlando Pirates head coach.
In their next fixture, the Pirates will take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final. The match is set for Saturday, August 16.
