Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has firmly dismissed talk of a possible move to Egyptian giants Zamalek, stating he has had no discussions with the club.
Speaking to Kooora, the Spanish tactician said there have been no negotiations for him to take charge of Zamalek next season.
Riveiro highlighted his pride in his journey with the South African side, saying he dreams of winning the CAF Champions League before ending his coaching career.
Addressing the team’s impressive record away from home, Riveiro credited the squad’s toughness, spirit, and talent as key factors behind their four away wins this season in the continental tournament.
Looking ahead, he expects a much tougher clash against Al Ahly at Cairo International Stadium compared to their previous game against Pyramids at the Air Defence Stadium.
He noted that Al Ahly already secured a quarter-final spot, while Pyramids are still chasing qualification.
The first leg between Orlando Pirates and Pyramids ended goalless in South Africa, adding more weight to the return leg.
