Burkina24 has reported that Alain Traoré, the Lorient midfielder, fell victim to a robbery in Burkina Faso during the Christmas holidays. The incident occurred as Traoré was returning to Burkina Faso to spend time with family. Around ten armed men attacked Traoré while he was driving his car, along with another car and a public transport bus, approximately twenty kilometers from Boromo on the Ouaga-Boromo axis (between Baporo and the Mouhoun bridge).
The attack resulted in one gunshot wound, sustained by the bus driver. The robbers fled the scene before the police arrived. Alain Traoré’s car was robbed of 5 million CFA francs, and the bus driver lost 200,000 CFA francs in the theft.
