Omar Zekri tipped for CS Hammam-Lif return after Al-Jahra exit

Tunisian winger Omar Zekri, currently without a club after leaving Al-Jahra, has been linked with a return to CS Hammam-Lif.

The 31-year-old right winger is being mentioned in connection with the Tunisian Ligue 1 side, where he began his senior career after progressing from Hammam-Lif’s under-19 team. Zekri played for CS Hammam-Lif from 2013 until 2017 before moving to ES Sahel.

Zekri most recently represented Al-Jahra, joining the Kuwaiti club in December 2024 on a free transfer. His time there ended on 1 July 2026, when he became a free agent.

A move back to CS Hammam-Lif would reunite Zekri with the club where he made his professional breakthrough. His Ligue 1 record includes 121 appearances, 12 goals and nine assists, while he has also played in the Tunisian Cup and the league’s relegation play-out competition.

The winger has spent much of his career in Tunisia, with further spells at US Ben Guerdane and ES Sahel, as well as a loan period with Saudi Arabian club Najran SC and a brief stint at Lebanon’s Al-Ansar FC.

Zekri’s current status leaves him available to move without a transfer fee, although the link with CS Hammam-Lif remains a rumour and no agreement has been confirmed.
