Omar Taoualy joins UP Plasencia as Spanish-Moroccan midfielder changes clubs
Spanish-Moroccan midfielder Omar Taoualy has joined UP Plasencia from Moralo CP on a free transfer, adding a new central midfield option to the club’s squad.
The 25-year-old completed the move on 12 August 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Taoualy’s arrival marks his latest move in Spanish football after a season with Moralo CP.
Taoualy joined Moralo CP from Arandina on 30 July 2025, also on a free transfer. His spell at the club followed a campaign with Arandina, whom he joined from La Palma CF on 1 July 2024.
The midfielder’s playing history also includes Balon de Cadiz, which he left for La Palma CF in July 2023. His recent career has therefore taken him through a number of Spanish clubs, with UP Plasencia becoming his latest destination.
Taoualy is listed as a central midfielder and holds both Spanish and Moroccan nationality. His recorded competitive appearances include six matches in the Promotion to 2nd Federation and one in the Copa Federation, giving him 630 minutes across those competitions.
The move continues UP Plasencia’s association with a player who has previously made successive free-transfer switches within the Spanish game. Taoualy’s contract gives him the 2026-27 season to establish himself at the club after arriving from Moralo CP.
Taoualy is now an UP Plasencia player under contract through June 2027.
