Omar Marmoush weighs Barcelona move as he seeks bigger role

Omar Marmoush is happy at Manchester City, but the forward could soon face a big decision as interest from Barcelona and other top clubs grows.

Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmood has confirmed that Barcelona spoke with the 27-year-old’s representatives in January, seeing him as a player who can contribute on the pitch and boost the club’s commercial appeal.

Barcelona believe Marmoush would be open to a move, while Atletico Madrid are also expected to monitor his situation, especially with Julian Alvarez repeatedly linked with a summer exit.

For now, Marmoush enjoys life under Pep Guardiola and feels settled at City, yet the lack of a guaranteed starting role remains a key concern.
