Omar Marmoush adds something special to Manchester City – Pep Guardiola

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hailed Omar Marmoush for his standout display in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Newcastle United.

The Egyptian forward netted twice as Manchester City secured a 3-1 victory over Newcastle on Wednesday, booking their place in the final against Arsenal on March 22.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Guardiola said, “Omar Marmoush gives the team a special advantage.”

“Marmoush’s strengths? His speed, his ability to penetrate the opponent’s defenses, and his high work ethic,” he added.

Marmoush will aim to extend his scoring run when City face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
