Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed believes Al Ahly are heading into the new season stronger and more united than ever.
The Egyptian side kicked off their pre-season training camp in Tunisia with a convincing 4-1 win over Stade Tunisien, and Kamal was quick to applaud the team’s chemistry and spirit.
Speaking after the match, Kamal said the players put on a strong display and are fully prepared for the tough challenges ahead. He praised the peaceful atmosphere in the camp and the team’s togetherness, which he believes will be key this season.
“The closeness of the matches in previous seasons put a lot of pressure on Al Ahly players, but the sufficient period of time between the last season and the next, and the team’s participation in a training camp during this period, gives the players great comfort and prepares them extremely well before the start of the new season,” Kamal said.
Karim Fouad, returning after a long injury spell, also expressed his excitement. He said the squad’s new additions have raised the level of competition and energy in camp.
