Omar Fayed joins Frosinone from Fenerbahce in €500k Serie A move

Egypt centre-back Omar Fayed has joined Frosinone from Fenerbahce for €500,000, completing a move that takes the 23-year-old defender from Turkey’s Super Lig to Italy’s Serie A.

Fayed’s transfer was completed on 19 August 2026, with Frosinone securing the defender as he begins a new chapter in Italian football. The deal gives him a move into one of Europe’s major domestic leagues after his time with Fenerbahce.

The 23-year-old’s primary position is centre-back, placing him in a defensive role at a club competing in Serie A. His arrival represents a direct switch between two clubs from different national leagues, with Fenerbahce based in Turkey and Frosinone in Italy.

Fayed’s recorded market value is €600,000, making the €500,000 transfer fee €100,000 lower than that valuation. The figure provides the financial context for a deal involving a young defender moving across borders and into a new league.

The move also marks the end of Fayed’s spell with Fenerbahce. He now joins Frosinone as an Egyptian international-background player entering Italian football at the age of 23, with his position clearly defined as central defence.

For Frosinone, the signing adds an available centre-back to their squad while preserving a clear profile in the transfer: a young defender arriving from a club competing in Turkey’s top flight. For Fayed, the switch changes both his domestic football environment and the league in which he will continue his career.

The transfer is a straightforward club-to-club move, with no loan arrangement or contract length attached to the completed announcement. Frosinone have therefore secured Fayed’s registration from Fenerbahce after agreeing the €500,000 fee.

Fayed has now officially left Fenerbahce and completed his transfer to Frosinone.
