Omar Bassam, the former Haras El Hodoud player, has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Bisha on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract.

The Egyptian forward’s transfer marks a new chapter in his career as he joins the Saudi Second Division side in their bid to improve their standings.

Bassam’s Career Journey Leading to Saudi Arabia

Bassam’s last stint in Egypt was with Haras El Hodoud, where he showcased his skills as a forward.

Earlier this year, he had a brief spell with Libyan side Shabab Al-Ghar, joining them during the January transfer window.

After a season in Libya, he now makes the switch to Al-Bisha during the ongoing summer transfer period, as the Saudi team seeks to bolster their attacking options for the remainder of the season.

Al-Bisha’s Position in Saudi Second Division League Table

Al-Bisha currently competes in the Saudi Second Division and is striving to climb up the league table.

The team sits in 10th place with 7 points, a position they will look to improve with the addition of Bassam, who is expected to bring experience and an attacking edge to the squad.

The league is currently led by Generations and Planet, both of whom are tied at the top with 17 points each.

Saudi Second Division Standings:

  1. Generations – 17 points
  2. Planet – 17 points
  3. Al-Ula – 15 points
  4. Hajar – 15 points
  5. Al-Shoula – 13 points
  6. Al-Liwaa – 12 points
  7. Najran – 12 points
  8. Arar – 12 points
  9. Mudar – 9 points
  10. Bisha – 7 points
  11. Ghouta – 7 points
  12. Al-Ansar – 6 points
  13. Stars – 5 points
  14. Esperance – 5 points
  15. Al-Sahel – 3 points
  16. Al-Hawraa – 1 point

Al-Bisha’s fans will be hoping that Bassam’s experience, especially from his time in North Africa, will help drive the team forward and boost their chances of climbing higher up the league standings.

With his signing, the Saudi club aims to strengthen their attacking lineup as they continue their campaign in the Second Division.
